NOTES. 'The auxiliary schooner lluia sailed early yesterday morning for Lyttelton direct, after discharging a cargo of timber at this port. ' The Richardson Co.’s s.s. Rum arrived .yesterday morning from Napier, and after discharging part of her cargo, will probably sail this morning for Tokomaru Bay, whence tho vessel will return to Napier. The Union Co.’s s.s. Kowhai sailed yesterday afternoon for Greymouth direct. The Richardson Co.’s Ripple will

arrive this morning from Wellington, via Napier, and will discharge a general cargo, later returning to Wellington direct. The Union Co.’s s.s. Tarawcra will also arrive this morning from Napier and Southern ports, and after being tendered as usual will sail later for Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay The vessel will bring among her'passengers a number of wounded soldiers. The s.s. Paloona, of the same company, will arrive to-morrow afternoon irom Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay, and will be tendered on arrival and at 0.45 p.m., sailing later for Napier and Southern ports. The Richardson Co.’s s.s. Mako arrived late last night from Auckland, via Coast bays, and after discharging a general cargo will sail for Auckland, via Napier and Coast bays. The Union Co.’s s.s. Rosmond will

arrive on Monday morning from Auckland, via Tologa Bay, and will

sail on the return trip later in the same day Among th 1 cargo will be transhipments of produce from the s.s. Wanaka. After her return to Auckland the vessel will go on the slips' for overhauling purposes, her place on the East Coast run being taken by the Maori’, and Co.’s s s. Karu (late Holmdale). Tho Union Co.’s s.s. Monowai, which was timed to arrive here from 8011th next Wednesday, hut owing to the fact that the s.. Willochra,. hospital ship, will arrive in Dunedin on October' 31, bringing many sick and wounded soldiers for the northern districts, the s.s. Monowai will not leave the .port of Dunedin until that date. As a consequence, the vessel will be one day behind timetable, arriving here on morning. ’IVIO tender will probably only work tlio steamer once at 6 a.m. The Canterbury Co.’s s.s. Calm will arrive on Wednesday next from Dunedin, via Camaru, Timaru. and Lyttelton, with a cargo of produce. The Shaw Savill Co.’s s.s. Karamea is due to arrive about the middle of next month to load meat and v 00l for Home ports.
