A MYSTERIOUS DEATH.
MEDICAL MEN NONPLUSSED. tTUESS ASSOCIATION TKIiEOKAMj DUNEDIN, April 13. Peculiar circumstances were revcmed this morning at an inquest on the boar of Samuel Shirra Horace Kirk and, a mining student, who was found dr at in bed on Sunday morning. ' Doctors who conducted the post-nun - tem stated that the body was well nourished and well developed muscularl.v. All the internal organs and the brain ■were normal, and they wore at a loss to account for the cause of death. I a - ticular attention had been paid ho th ■heart, from which, it was supposed, deceased had been suffering. but tha organ was found quite normal and at the valves perfect. , The suggestion was made that death might be due to poisoning, but the doctors said their examination had been most careful and there was nothing to indicate poisoning adding, howevoi, that the only test tor that would be a chemical analysis of the contents of the stomach. _ . • At the request of the police the inquest was adjourned sine die to allow the test to be made.
