N.Z. CRICKETERS’ TOUR.
BALANCE SHEET CRITICISED. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM-1 AUCKLAND, March 11. The balance sheet of the New Zealand cricket team’s recent Australian tour was received and severely criticised to-night by the Auckland Cricket Association, which, out of a guarantee of £7o, received back only £6 9s 10d. The payment of players was particularly resented, and the New Zealand Council was severely criticised for its action in not notifying the centres of this fact before the guarantees were forthcoming. It was resolved to write to the Council criticising the balance sheet as a. whole and asking for an explanation of certain items. The Chairman said that if the four principal centres were not more fairly treated by the central • authority they should 1 consider the advisability of seceding from that body.
