Owing to the rain in the morning, and the threatening nature of the weather at noon, the postponement committee of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association desired to cancel all games arranged for the afternoon. As a matter of fact, the afternoon turned out quite fine, but, not being weather prophets, the postponement committee acted for the best at mid-day.
