M. Firmin Lauvinerie, an officer, of health at Toulouse, is suspected by the police of the murder of an old gardener named Fayt, who has’disappeared in mysterious circumstances (states the Paris corerspondent of .the “Daily Mail”)- When a search was made at his house by a magistrate a packet containing title deeds to the amount of £44,000 in a bundle of lags was discovered. Soon alter he asked his wife to demand from a neighbor a debt of 6d.
