AUCKLAND SESSIONS.
[PRESS*ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 23. The two prisoners, Albert Edward McQueen and Harry Wilson, who attempted to escape from Mt. Eden by violently assaulting a warder and Ins assistant, were brought up for sentence at tlie Auckland Supreme Court this morning. Both prisoners received a sentence of three jiears , to take effect from the expiration of their present terms. Gqo. Harris, found guilty of attempting to steal a pocket book from a person at the Whangarei races, was ordered to be detained for a period not exceeding two years for reformative treatment. . , , Edward Rowland was admitted to probation for a period of two years on the special condition that he refrained from liquor. ... James McGivern, a greaser fiom the steamer Sussex, was found not guil y ° f Aiming Croatian named Steve Jurakovich was found guilty of carnal knowledge and was admitted to ,-robation for a period ot 12 months. His Hnor pointed out that prisoner bore a (rood character; lie was engaged to the girl at the time and had .since married her, and they were living happily together. .
