IMPROVEMENTS ON THE

DOMAIN

[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] MANUTUKE, Nov. 6

At a committee meeting of the Manutuke branch of the Presbyterian Church held on Wednesday evening, Mr D. Robinson was elected secretary.

The Manutuke Domain Board (T. R. Lees, chairman) is to be congratulated upon the fine appearance of the Domain. During its term of office the Board has had the grounds fenced and laid down in grass, and planted with a double line of ornamental trees, the latest additions being a fine new double gateway for vehicles and a single gate for foot passengers. This is one of the nest recreation grounds m the district. In a cricket match last week, playing for Manutuke against Waingake. T. Gibson secured eight wickets for 20 runs, and F. McDonald one for 4. The match was unfinished.
