Fenwick left last night to attend the Hawke's Bay Show. Mr. Fenwick lias regularly attended this show for tiie past 21 years, not having missed a single gathering in all those years. Mr. G. F. Wilson, manager of the Union S.S. Co.'* Bluff branch, is spending a holiday at Gisborne. Mr. W'ilson, who is .accompanied by Mrs. W ilson. was stationed ar Gisborne for some time a few years aero. News was received yesterday of the sudden death at Napier of Mr Frank Edward Wilson, a young man of 28 years of age, who for the past four years has been engaged as barman at the Gisborne Hotel. Mr Wilson went down to Napier a few days ago for a brief holiday, and was then .apparently in the best of health. His friendsin Gisborne were considerably startled on receiving a message to the effect that he had been suddenly taken dangerously ill, and had been removed to the hospital. They were shocked to receive a message later in the day to say that he had died. No particulars as to the cause of death are yet available.
