GOLF.

MIXED FOURSOME. {final competition of the SEASON. The curtain was rung down on the 1913 golfing season in Gisborne on 'Saturday afternoon, when a Mixed Foursome was played.. The fates have /not been too kind to these popular (competitions this year, as although (the weather was beautifully fine at 2 o’cloek when play started, inky-black clouds banked up in the west as the afternoon wore on, and about 3 o’clock a sharp shower of rani, accompanied by hailstones, gave the players a drenching.
