ENTERTAINMENTS.
TO-NIGHT’S NOVELTY. His Majesty’s Theatre will doubtless be tho rendezvous this evening of all who’are in search of an enjoyable vocal and musical entertainment, and, at the same time, have the welfare of Gisborne?, sincerely at heart. The entertainment will be novel, in that it will bo managed, arranged, and provided entirely ( by members of the fairer sex, all of Scottish persuasion, and belonging to the Scottish Society. This alone should lie sufficient recommendation, since so much has been heard of the latent talent which is said to exist among the feminine section of that society, and tlie entertainment will bo worthy of general support in view of the fact that the proceeds will be devoted to the funds of tho Beautifying Society. A glance at the programme is indicative of the variety and merit which wi'l mark the evening’s enjoyment. ATere man will not even be allowed to appear before the footlights. The Alayoress (Mrs. J. R. Kirk) will preside.
