OVERSEAS RIFLE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. Tiie-,annual general meeting of the Gisborne Overseas Rifle Club was held at the Scottish Hall last evening. There was a large attendance of members, who evidenced a keen interest in the doings of the Chib. The balancesheet and report as already published were confirmed. The election of officers resulted as follows:-—President, Mr I). Rait; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Cave and Jas. Johnstone; secretary,' Mr V. 13. Stagpoole; treasurer, Mr G. A. Holmes; financial committee, Messrs A. E. Bickford, J. Shclgar, S. D. Buntin, R. Breingan; auditors, Messrs T. ( 0. Orr and A. E, Walker; shooting committee, Messrs R. Breingan, F. Armstrong, S. D. Buntin, J. Shclgar, C. S. Allan, G. Parker, W. Cave; range officers, Messrs F. Armstrong, A. Ackory, J. Johnstone and G. A. Holmes; social committee. Messrs A. Beer, F. Armstrong, W. Cave, A. E. Walker, C. J. Allen and G. Magnusson. The Club placed on record its- deep appreciation ol : the honor conferred Upon it by His Excellency Lord Liverpool in becoming its patron. Mr J. C. Field was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his kindness in granting the Club permission to shoot over his range during the past season. The tickets for the forthcoming euchre tournament on Tuesday, September 2nd, were distributed among the members and a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring officers concluded the meeting.
