(Received August 20, 8.50 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 20. Mr Groom, replying to Mr Tudor on the sugar excise loss, blamed the late Government for making no provision to meet the difficulty. It is understood that the Government is introducing a Bill to provide for the payment of excise and duty on all sugar in bond when the excise was repealedi.
