[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAitI CHRISTCHURCH, July 30. At the Addington live stock market there were large entries of fat cattle and sheep and moderate yardmgs in other, departments. Fat cattle were entered' in large numbers, and sold well. A few fat lambs were penned, and brought late rates. Store sheep wore in active demand. Fat sheep showed an advance, and there was no change in fat pigs Store Sheep.—Ewes, two-tooth, 20s lid; six and eight-tooths (medium), 15s; sound-mouth, 15s lid to 19s 3d ; aged sorts, 12s to 17s 3d; merino ewes with lambs (all counted), 8s; boggets (best), 15s to" 16s; extra to 16s 9d; fair to good, 14s to 14s 9d; medium, 13s 3d to 13s lOd; small, 13s; ewe hoggets,* 16s 4d to 18s 2d; wethers, four and six-tooth (forward), 19s 3d to 20s Id ; two and four-tooth (forward), 19s 9d. Fat Lambs. —Only 1024 fat lambs were penned. Best lambs made 16§ 6d to 20s 9d ; and others 14s 8d to 17s. Fat Sheep.—There was a large, yarding of fat sheep, totalling between 6000 and 7600 sheep. Extra prime wethers made to 30s Id; prime, 22s 6d to 27s 6d; lighter to 225; merino wethers, 15s to 20s; prime ewes, 19s to 25s ; others, 15s 6d to 18s 6d. Fat Cattle.—Steers realised £9 10s to £ll 15s; heifers, £8 17s 6d to £9; extra to £l4; and cows, £5 17s Cd to £lO 17s 6d. Store Cattle. —15 to 18 months, £2 15s; 21-year, £4 15s; 3-year steers, £7 10s; arid cows, £2 to £5 10s. Dairy cows m’ade £4 to £ll Fat Rigs'.—Choppers, £4 to £5 10s ; heavy baconers, 65s to 745; and smaller, 52s 6d to 60s; extra, to 79s (equal to 5Jd per lb). Heavy porkers brought 42s to 50s ; lighter, 35s to 40s (equivalent to 64d per lb). Store Rigs.—Large sorts, 38s to 41s 6d; medium, 28s to 375; small sorts, 22s to 275; and weaners made 14s to 21s.
