NOTES.
The U.S.S. Co.'s Monowai left Auckland at 6 o’clock on Tuosday evening for Gisborne via Tokomaru and anohored in the bay at 4.30 yesterday afternoon. The Maitai arrived from southern ports yesterday morning and after being tendered as usual left for north shortly after noon. The topsail sohoonor Amelia Sims arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon after a very rough voyage from Wellington, the vessel losing one of her jibs. The schooner has on board the Wonderland plant for the Auckland Exhibition. The aux. schooner Orete left Auckland yesterday on her usual run south. The coastal steamer John is due this morning from Wellington and will leave for south to-night. The Richardson steamer Ripple is due from south as usual to-morrow and has a large general oargo for this port. The Kowhai is loading at Lyttelton to-day for Gisborne via Napier. The Wimmera is the steamer which arrives from south on Saturday morning. The Makarini is due from Wanganui on Saturday to load'for Home ports.
