THE INDRABARAH

REPAIRS MAY TAKE TWO MONTHS. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM] DUNEDIN, July 30. It is anticipated that the marine surveyors will be unable to finish the work of ascertaining the damage to the Indrabarah before the end of the week. It is understood that the thrust shafts are so severely bent that the projecting ends will have to be cut through so as to get them withdrawn through the stem glands. The rolling chocks have been completely torn off on both bilges and in order to replace them a large amount ofl freezing insulation will have to be removed. It is also reported that the floors are badly set up amidships. It is believed that repairs cannot be effected in less than two months, and a rough estimate puts the cost down at close on £20,000.
