LATEST RETURNS. The Gazette, which came to hand by yesterday’s mail, contained the following figures concerning the Gisborne railway section for the period ended on June 21, with the comparison for the corresponding quarter of last year being given in parentheses: Passengers: First-class 528 single (563) and 402 return (3SS), total 930 (9ol). Second class, 2501 single and 1916 return (1986), total 441 T (4/79). Grand total of passengers carried, 534/ (5730). Ten season tickets were issued this year as against three lor the same period last year. The return proceeds: Goods.—Drays 1 (9), cattle 68 (80), calves 10 (7), sheep 6006 (3402), p iC s 62 (92); total 614.7 (3590).
