The late .Mr Sisterson, who was >■> years of age, was a native of iSortnmnHerlandf and came to Gisborne . 0 years ago. In partnership with Mr 'Mcßae, he took up the vJWjo«i Reav Station in the lo A.ai A alley, which has . regarded as one o the model farms of the district. Mr Sisterson was of a most generous disposition, and, with h,s partner kept open house at the Reay Station where a kindly welcome and good cheer awaited all who crossed its threshold. Mr Sisterson took a keen interest in sporting matters, and was a generous patron to many clubs throughout the district. He was one of the few remaining original members of the Gisborne Racing Club of which he was a prominent member since its inception 23 years ago. He kept a stud farm at the Reav Station, and was a successful breeder, being recognised as the best iudges of a horse in the oistiict. 1 The late Mr Sisterson was unmarried, but has two brothers residing in Poverty Bay—Mr William Sisterson, of the '“Willows,” Matawhero, and Mr John Sisterson, of Te Aral. The late Mr Sisterson was highly esteemed by everyone who know him, and his loss will he mourned by a wide circle of genuine friends who admired him for his many sterling pualities and his generous bounty. The funeral will leave 'his late residence. Lytton Road, at 2 o’clock to-morrow 4 afternoon for Makaraka cemetery. “
