Iriday evening to big good-bye to tn school teaclier, Mr Mcßean, on the eve of his departure for Dannevirke. A neatly worded address was presented bv Master Ernmerson, and Mr John Clarice, the chairman, in a tew wellchosen words, voiced the regret or his committee at losing the services ot Mr Mcßean, who had proved a most painstaking teacher, and ynio _ had earned the respect and goodwill of the .children—as was evidenced by the lusty manner in which they sang “He’s a jolly good fellow.” They also subscribed and bought Mr Mcßean a very line travelling set. A dance brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
