SENSATIONAL SHOOTING AFFRAY
HUSBAND DIKES AT HIS WIFE. [rszss ASSOCIATION' TEIXCEAMI WELLINGTON'. July 2S. A sensational shoaling case occurred in Upper Willis Street, this evening. Airs Samuel Miuilio was walking along the street when her husband, from" whom she was separated, came along and asked her to accompany him into a near-by shop. The woman refused and appealed . for protection to a man'.who was passing. A (indie thereupon pulled out a revolver and tired, at his wife and turned round and made his escape. It was found that the bullet had only penetrated the fleshy part of Mrs Minitje’s left arm and the wound is not likely to be serious. She was removed to the hospital. Minifte was arrested about 9 o’clock in a hotel.
