HANDSOME DONATION TO HOSPITAL FENDS.

FROM LOCAL CHINESE

The secretary of the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (Mr H. M. Porter) yesterday received the following letter, accompanied by a cheque from Chinese residents of the town: — We, the undersigned are pleased to give the following subscriptions to the local Hospital funds, and in doing so wish to express our high appreciation of such a well-conducted and benevolent institution in this district: Wong Sliang £3 3s; Louie Youk £2 2s; Louie Kim £1 Is; Yee Ham £1 Is: Wong Chun £1 Is; Chen Hoi Men 10s 6d; Ah High 10s; Lee Choy 10s; Wong Kit 10s—Total £lO 8s 6d.
