BOWLING.
TURANGANUI CLUB. , The monthly meeting of the Turanganui Bowling Club’s Committee of Management was helfl- last evening. Present: The president, Mr. lan Simson, in the chair, and Messrs Sawyer, Williams. 'Taylor, Leydon, and the secretary, Mr. A. Douglas Spiers. It was decided to extend the closing of the big game from Saturday the 31st May to the 3rd June, 1913, and a motion was carried that the first round in Watson and Co.’s bowls must be played on that date, otherwise competing members will forfeit their games for non-attendance. The draw in the third round of Friar and Williams’ gold medals resulted as follows:—Colley v. Sawyer, J. J. Martin v. Leydon, Neill a bye. A proposal was also carried that the semi-finals for Friar and Williams’ gold medals must be played not later than the 3rd of June, 1913. The club’s accounts were passed for payment, subject to the approval of the finance committee, and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr. Martin for the use of his room.
