A HAMILTON CASE. [rRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.! , HAMILTON. May 27. Arthur James McKibbin, who was adjudicated bankrupt in December last- and who is at present serving nine months for false pretences in Auckland, was sentenced to four months’ hard labor at Hamilton to-day for five offences under the penal clauses of the Bankruptcy Act. The evidence showed that M.-’K.ib-bin, who was formerly a land agent at Hamilton, purchased several .lots of cattle under an assumed name from one firm of auctioneers and sold them through ''another firm under his own name.
