AN ai d Scymoiir was found in Thurlowe s billiard rooms, Maelaggan Street, this morning in a condition which necessitated his being conveyed to the hospital, where he died at 5 p.m. The cause of death is at present unknown. SUDDEN DEATH. AUCKLAND. May 14. Richard Alfred Mowell (GO) died suddenly in a cottage in Elliott Street this morning. He had lived'in the cottage with another man and had complained of feeling unwell, but re- ' fused to see a doctor. His companion on awakening this morning found Mowell dead. It is not known whef. ther deceased had relatives m the country or elsewhere. Ho was a native of Birkenhead, Liverpool, and had been 30 years in New Zealand.
