IMPORTANT NOTICES OF MOTION

At- the close of last night’s meeting of the Borough Council, notices of motion were given as under: — Cr Collins —(1) “That in future no further Gentle Annie metal be used for street maintenance, but in lieu thereof the work be done with Patutahi stone and screened shingle.” (2) “That work at the Gentle Annie quarry be done by contract in lieu of dav labor.” The Mayor—“ That the question of framing regulations and by-laws in connection with the tramways be referred to the Tramways CommitCr. Wade—“ That the Engineer’s services be dispensed with.”
