The “Chronicle” publishes an interview with an English lady, who has .-been working on a Red Crescent mission in Sofia. She gives a terrible account of the treatment of the Turkish sick and wounded, who, she says, were left foodless, fireless, waterless and shelterless. They fed themselves by gnawing bark, and many died before American misionaries provided the survivors with a little soup. Sho says it was a horrible spectacle to see starving men trampling over one another to secure :i -share of the SOU|).
