PROTEST AGAINST RED UCTION OF MAIL TRAINS.

A vigorous protest was voiced by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce against the decision of the Railway Department to discontinue as from May 1 the running of the “second” main trunk expresses between Wellington and; Auckland and a resolution to have a letter of protest sent by the president on behalf of the Chamber was carried unanimously.
