Following is ia description of the game between Sainsbury and Sevevne in the 10th round of tire chess championship tournament. .The players adopted the Guioeo Piano game, in which Sainsbur / sacrificed the queen’s pawn to obtai.. an attack, lie also opened the king's bishop’s file for his rook. Pieces we quickly exchanged, Severne retain, ng the extra pawn, but having the pawns doubled on the queen’s knight file the pawn ending was very quietly conducted, Severne winning on the 38th move. Following is the position of players at-the conclusion of the tenth round:
