ALARM BY CANARIES.
-An alarm given by two canaries saved the life of Mme. Martha Alexandre, who lives in the Rue d’Aboukir, Paris. Fire broke out in her flat during the night, and the birds, mistaking the blaze for daylight, began to whistle. Their song awakened Mme Alexandre, and she was able to escape.
