WHATAUPOKO TENNIS CLUB. At the Whataupoko Tennis Club on Saturday the various comeptitions were, advanced another stage. The weather was beautifully fine and there was a large attendance. Afternoon tea was dispensed by a number of the lady members of the club, and was heartily appreciated. The results were: — Men’s Singles: F. Nolan (20) beat T. C. ■Orr (30), 75—67; W. R. Barker beat N. Bull by default; G. W. Willock (10) beat T. G. Morgan (35), 75—70; E. C. Matthews (scr) beat G. D. Reed (scr), 75 —69. Ladies' Singles: Miss N. Davies (5) beat Miss D. Roes (12). 60—466; Miss H. Watkins (15) beat Miss Murray (12), 60 —57; Miss M. de Lautour (20) beat Miss W. William (18), 60—53; Miss Evans beat Miss M. Rees by default. Semi-finals: Miss 11. Watkins (15) beat Miss N. Davies (5), 60 —57; Miss M. deLatour (20) beat Miss Evans (18), 60—57. Final: Miss Watkins (15) beat Miss M. deLautour (20), 60—46.
