COINER USES FAIRLY PURE SILVER. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT) PARIS, Dec. IS. A coiner named Passaret passed 5350 counterfeit five-franc pieces at a profit of only £560 sterling, having used purer silver than the genuine coins. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment, with the benefit of the First Offenders’ Act.
