THURSDAY COMPETITION. The match between United and Kia Kaha was continued at the Victoria Domain yesterday afternoon, and resulted in an easy win for Kia Ivaha by 10 wickets. With six wickets down for 67 runs, United continued their second innings, which closed for 86 runs. This left Kia Kaha with 29 to get to win, which were obtained without the loss of a wicket. Grant and Bridger hitting off the runs required. CHRISTCHURCH HIGH SCHOOL DEFEATS AUCKLAND GRAMMAR SCHOOL. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM! AUCKLAND, Dec. 19. The Heathcote Williams Shield cricket match was concluded to-day, Christchurch High School defeating Auckland Grammar School by ten wickets. Auckland made 173 in their second innings. Smith took seven wickets for 49. In the whole match he took 15 wickets at a cost of five runs each. Christchurch in their second innings made 65 for the loss of no wicket.

N.S.W. TEACHERS v. WELLINGTON TEACHERS. WELLINGTON, Dec. 19. The N.S.W. teachers played local teachers to-day, the game ending in a draw. Wellington scored 169 and N.S.W. 157 for seven wickets. The Hawke Cup representative match South Taranaki v. Wanganui was concluded to-day on a bowler’s wicket, Wanganui winning by an innings and 394 runs. South Taranaki’s second innings produced 33. Bernau took five wickets for 18, and Holland three for 11.
