ROWING.

GISBORNE CLUB

Tlie usual weekly meeting of the committee of the Gisborne Rowing Club was held in the boathouse last evening. Present: Messrs Gully (chair), Quigley, Pycroft, McConville and Hutton.

Two additional “13” grade crews were passed for the present trial. fours,* viz U. H. PuHett (str), H. Davis (3), L. T. Davis (2) and J. Y. Alahony (bow); D. H. Faram (str), C. Peaeocke (o), C. N. Devery (2), and F. Sprague (bow). Several alterations in the other crews were also approved. The following new members were elected:—Honorary: R. White. Active: L. T. Davis, J. V. Mahony, A. M. Duncan, B. A. Sargisson, A. Peters, S. B. Jago and 0. Solvander.

Coxwains to steer practice crews were approved of as follows:—A. Fry, F. Brown, J. Oman, H. Miller, E. Robb, D. Walker, A. Evans, G. AlcLachlnn, E. McDonald. No stroke to be allowed to take out any other boy as coxwain. Mr R. J. Pycroft was appointed assistant honorary treasurer, and Messrs I. J. Quigley and L. O.Brien were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing week.
