The competition was one of flic rapid firing variety, and was well cay ciliated to test the markmanship of tlie lads taking part in it. Erom a prone position at a distance of 4-CO yards the competitors had to lire at a figure target that was visible for only a minute, in which time each contestant had to get through five rounds of ammunition. Each team numbered 12 cadets.
