REMARKABLE SYDNEY EPISODE [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT! (Received Sept. 10, 12.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept, 9. Some time ago a respectably-dres-sed woman presented a cheque for £SOO to a city bank signed bv a prominent business firm, and had it cashed. It was a forgery, and the- perpetrator was untraced. The manager of the bank has received a letter from a woman enclosing £2OO, and stating that she was only the medium whereby the forgery was executed. An early arrest is expected.
