SIR WM. HALL JONES DECLINES
RE-APPOINTMENT
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
WELLINGTON, May 29. The New Zealand Times is in a position to state that the, Government has offered Sir William Hall Jones a further extension for three months of his appointment as High Commissioner, whicli expires on Thursday. This Sir William Hall Jones has refused, and the position of High Commissioner will be vacant on Saturday. Mr. Palliser, secretary to the High Commissioner, will carry on ponding the appointment of a successor to Sir Wm Hall Jones.
