NOTES.
The Union S. S. Co’s Monowai arrived from the South yesterday morning and left for Auckland via Tokomaru early in the afternoon. The scow Alert put back to Gisborne yesterday owing to the fact that she encountered unfavorable winds. The Savill and Albion Co’s Ihtkelia left for Auckland early yesterday morning to complete her loading before she departs finally for Home. The Tyser Co’s Marere sailed for Lyttelton yesterday morning. The Huddart Parker Co’s Wimmera arrives front-- Auckland this afternoon. The last launch will leave the wharf at 7 p.m. The schooner Crete is expected to arrive from Auckland early. She was at Tokomaru on Tuesday. The auxiliary schooner Ivaeo is also on her way from Auckland to Gisborne. The Union S. S. Co’s Haupiri is expected to be ready to take up her usual running at the end of next week.
