The weather was excellent, and the attendance at tlie Anniversary and the Mercer regattas, the Takapuna races, and various other outdoor fixtures was very large. The only accident reported is that which befel some children 'through the collapse of a form of amusement at Motukuorea (Brown s Island), known as an “ocean wave.
