Malcolm and Co. report on their Saturday auction sales as follows:—Chicles 6d to 9d. ducks Is 6d to 2s, fowls Is 6d to 3s 6d, pigeons 9d each, eggs lid to Is, butter lOd- new potatoes lid, old potatoes 8s 6d, cabbages Is 7d to 2s 6d, walnuts lb, broad Ijeans Is 6d sack, pickling walnuts Is bag. The prices realised at Alegars. Miller and Craig’s auction mart were as follows:—Hens Is 10d to 2s sd, young roosters Is. cluckeii6 lOd, ducklings lOd and Is. turkeys 6s 6d and 7s 6d, guinea fowls 2s 6d, eggs Is. butter lOd to Is. peas Is 8d to "is 9d peck, kumeras 2d lb, jxitatoes 2d,-kumera plants 9d bundle, maize 11s sack.

AYOOL SALES. [I’XITKD PRKSS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT?] LONDON, Dec. 8. At the woo! sales there was spirited competition at full rates. WOOL SALES CLOSED.

(Received December 11, 12.45 a.m.) LONDON. Dec. 10. The wool sales have closed. There was a good competition from all quarters, especially for merino. Fifty-seven thousand five hundred bales were sold for the Home Market, 54,000 for the Continent, and 7000 for tiho United States 10,000 being held over. There was a buoyant tone throughout the series and competition and prices were steadily sustained. German buyers were keen operators, chiefly for merinos. and the Amercicans particularly operated in crossbreds. There was an excellent representation of mlerinos and scoureds were full 5 per centum above the Septembeb rates. Best greasy combings were par, faulties par to 5 per centum below, good lots, medium shabby crossbreds 10 per centum above, fine crossbreds, also slipes and scoureds, 5 per oentum above. Soiree inker lambs sold at par.
