RESIDEXCE DESTROYED

[I’KK I’RKSS ASSOCIATION- 1 ] WANGANUI, Dec. 10. A six-roomed bouse owned by Charles Drew, of New Plymouth, and occupied by Ernest Jeff a res, was destroyed by fire this morning. The furniture was insured for £l5O. but the insurance cm the building is not available.

DEFECTIVE CHIMNEY STARTS FIRE. NAPIER. Dee. 9. The seven-roomed residence of Mr Arthur McCarthy. Chaucer road, way totally destroyed by fire early this morning. The indications point to a defective chimney being the cause. The building was insured for £4OO in the Sun office and £.50 in the Royal. The furniture was insured for £2OO in the Royal.
