ANGLICAN SUNDAY SCHOOL SOCIAL. 'FROM OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The Church of England Sunday School teachers organised a very successful social under the leadership of their popular and energetic superintendent, Mr. F. W. Gardener. The entertainment took place in the snackras hall of Te Karalca on Friday evening last, and was attended by a. great number of children and adults. The Rev. T. A. Meyer presided during the first part of the programme, which embraced the juvenile portion. The children held the floor till 10 o’clock, playing games, rendering songs, recitations, and instrumental music. The musical part of the children’s entertainment was in charge of Mrs. Hosier, who had trained the young performers with great care, so that the various items reached a Ingh standard of proficiency, and were thoroughly enjoyed by the large audience. At 10 o’clock the children marched, out to the suoper room, where teachers, parents, and friends had provided a splendid spread for them. The floor of the hall was then prepared for the dance which followed, and was kept up with keen enjoyment till 2 a.m., being interrupted only by a. good supper at 12 o’clock. ,
