CHRISTCHURCH CRIMINAL TINGS[Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 10. AL the Supreme Court to-day, George Henry Barker was found guilty on live counts charging him with having at different public places in Fendalton, between September 24th and December Btli, wilfully and obscenely exposed liis person. Tlio prisoner gave his age as 25, and the Crown prosecutor stated that all that was known about him- was that he had been in tlie district for only a few months. Mr. Justice Denmston, in sentencing tlie prisoner to twenty months’ imprisonment, said that the offence of which the prisoner had been found guilty was the result to some extent of something in the nature of a disease, but a disease which rendered the prisoner a menace to society, and it was His Honor’s duty to see that prisoner was locked up for some time in tlie hope that confinement and wholesome surroundings might effect some change. The criminal sittings have concluded.
