The divorce case, Stirling, Laird of Kippendavie, Perthshire, against his wife and Lord Northland, and a. cross suit by Mrs. Stirling against her husband and Mrs. Atherton, who was connected ivitli tho Yarde-Bulier case, are exciting interest, there being revelations of the doings of “smart society.” A report of 70,000 words was telegraphed from Edinburgh. .Lord Alverstone, speaking at the Sphinx Club’s dinner, said he could not ima•gine anything worse for public moral--rity than such .divorce reports.
