CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 18. It is reported that the totals for the Southern Maori election now are : Uru 357, Parata 354. with the Croixelles poll (Parata 6, Uru 4) to arrive. This would give Mr. Uru a majority of 1. Mr. H. W. Bishop, S.M., who is the principal returning officer for the Southern Maori electorate, states that at present lie lias no official information to divulge on the .subject.
