Mr. Murray Macdonald and other Radicals are pressing Mr. Asquith for a further declaration regarding the two-power standard, with the view of minimising the proposal of the Welsh Radicals who threatened secession in revenge for Mr. Asquith’s failure to enforce Welsh disestablishment.

In the Honso of Commons, replying to Mr. Lees’- question, suggested by Mr. Murray MacDonalds action, Mr. Asquith said that the Government’s view of the two-power standard was unchanged. He would later make a full statement, but deprecated questions and answers.
