There was a huge attendance, and the total gate- takings were £6OO. Following aie the results: — . . The Besson Shield for highest points in music, including the march, was won by Auckland Battalion with 38.1 1 °B 1 -Grade, first prize £3o. Palmerston North, with 257 tot il points, first; Auckland .Mounted Rifles, second, 257; Manaia, 2ol; Marten, 200.
