GISBORNE CLUB. There was a large attendance of members on the Gisborne Club’s green yesterday afternoon, when a number of interesting games were played. Following are details of the scores.: Handicap Pairs.—R. Crawford (sub.) and Corson 29 beat G. Miller (sub.) and F. Pettic 20; Wilson and Cusson (12) 30 beat Oman and Brady (6) 28. Handicap Singles.—Robertson (2) 31 belt- Houlihan (J) 19.

Ordinary Games. —Redstone, H. Lewis, Williams, Martin (21) beat E. Lewis, Morgan, W. Pettie, Crawford (12); Hobbs, Pavitt, Euro, Hennessy (28) boat T. Robertson, Bullock, Clarkson, Witty (13); Mackrcll, O’Meara. Craig, Pons ford (22) boat Zncharirh, Malcolm, Seymour, Caudill’(l2); Coleman .Lawless, H. Miller, J. Lucas (21) beat Robertson, Preston, Longlands, Harris (20).

TURANGANUI CLUB

On the Turanganui Club’s green yesterday the competition for the Bennett Cup and championship gold modal was continued. J. J. Martin met W. Ratcilffc, and one* of the closest games of the season resulted, botli competitors play|,j«r in first-class style. Ratclilfe ol>tanied the lead, and on the 3rd head had scored 6 to his opponent’s 1, but Martin drew up, and on the 6th head lie had 7to Ratclilfe’s 8. On the 10th head the scores were even —10 all. Then Martin took the lead, and was 12 to 11 on the 13th head, 13 to 12 on the loth, n,nd 15 to 14 on the ] 3th. On the 19th and 20th heads Martin scored singles, and Ratcliffc obtaining a single on the final head the game finished —Martin 17, Ratclifi'c 15,
