There was a good attendance at tho Victoria Billiard -Saloon last evening, when Al. Jones and J. Nugent mot in the competition for tlio championship of Gisborne. Tlio game was a remarkable ono in that both c' inpetitors had the worst, of luck. Nugent was in lrout till l o las'' 50, when his opponent drew up and finally won by seven points. Tbo game was even tbougbout, but :ts character can be judged lrom the fact that it look 1 hour GO minutes to complete. To-night \V. Forrest will play \Y. AA’-a lien tine at 7.30 p.m.
