At the Turailganui green on Monday J. J. Martin met T.' McConiiell in the Bennett Cup and championship gold medal competition. McConnell secured the lead, but Martin on the fifth head had scored 5 to his opponent’s 3. The game was very even right up to the 15th head, but from this point Martin drew away from his opponent, winning easily at the finish by 20 to 14.
