GERMANS IN AUSTRALIA.
SPEECH BY QUEENSLAND# PREMIER. United Frees Association—Copyright (Received Feb. 25, 11.40 p.m.) BRISBANE; Feb. 25. Mr. Kidston, speaking at a reception to the officers of a Gorman cruiser, said that if the officers were visiting England, naval officers and Eng-w_, lisii gentlemen would doubtless welcome them frankly and heartily, knowing full well at the same timo that in the near future they might meet on the battlefield. That, however, was not the feeling with which those present greeted their guests, as they had in the Australian States a much broader view of things, and he hoped that the people would come round to the Australian view of the matter. They in Australia did not know German, and they were just as glad to see Germans, as Englishmen, come to Australia. Tkero was room in Queensland for many more Germans.:
