mi mi/ uvii iby i i FURTHER RESULTS. i/refis Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 20. Heavy rain fell for most'of’the day, and the garden party and welcome to the bands was postponed till Friday. The E Flat Cornet Solo resulted as follows: —S. Williams (Woolston), GO points; 13. Simpson (Masterton), G 1: W. Nieholls (Stratford), SS. 1 The Theatre Royal was crowded tonight for the E Flat Cornet (Solo competition, which resulted:—F. Fox (Hastings), 62 points. 1; H. .Crystal! (Wanganui) and A. Berryman (Nelson), 61 points, equal for second place. Also competed: W. Thomas (Horning ton), 55'; L. Porgensen (Ist Battalion), 59; Jas. McGrath (Woolston), 60; J. Richards (Nelson), 58; J. Caulton (Hastings), 56; c! Pike (Palmerston North), 55; X Lovell (Taranaki), 54; G. Saunders (Taranaki), 60; E. Rissell (Stratford), 45. An immense amount of,good has been done by to-day’s tropical downpour. The weather now seems cleared up. Large crowds are in town for the championship sports to-morrow, and the first test- selection will :.e held in the evening.
